Hi Caitlin hereheres cool website link thing xx
Poodwaddle.com</a look at it it really cool!!!!!!!! xxxxxKia Ora. It's now Term 3 and already the calendar is full like a belly after Christmas dinner. We have all sorts of events coming up - the main two being the ILT Sing Out on the 16th September and Camp Coronet on the 30th August. Our English focus for the term is one of my favourites - poetry. It's such a wonderful text form because it is strongly evocative. It's a great opportunity to use language features such as metaphor, alliteration, simile and personification. We'd love for you to come and read our poems some time. MissM
Wow, what happened Wiki? - A Blog from Miss McSoriley Girls, don't stop using Wiki! I admit, I have been a little slack myself. To be honest, we have had food technology on a Wednesday afternoon. That's the time we'd usually dedicate to our Wiki. This term we are going to do some science experiments. That's all I will say on the topic. Tune in again soon!

Hello everyone. It's the middle of the holidays, not long to go now. Here's some housekeeping. On the first day, bring your diaries and put them on your desk for me to check. Remember we will have a new bell ringer who will have the job for 5 weeks at a time. Also, warm up your acting skills.
See you soon!

Always Take The Weather With You - A Blog from Miss McSoriley
Tip, tip tip! The rain is tapping on the classroom roof. It's telling me that I should get home after having a busy week. Weather-wise it's been a very moody Friday and I'm picking the right time to dash outside and go home for the weekend (i.e. not pouring down)! What a busy week we've had girls! Last Friday we took part in athletics after a very wet morning. This week we had interviews, our cancelled picnic/shared lunch and the Lit Quiz. Next week we have the Walkathon and Mufti Day! It's all go. These days there is an autumnal feel about the place. You always know autumn is on its way when there are fairies in the air. However, you can't let the weather effect your moods. Our wonderful NZ band, Crowded House use the weather as a metaphor. "Everywhere you go, always take the weather with you." Basically they are saying no matter what you do or where you are, your personality and demeanour will have an effect those around you. Somewhere on this Wiki I have used this quote, and here I will again.
"There's no such thing as bad weather, there's only such a thing as the wrong clothes."
- Billy Connolly
Have a nice weekend, TTFN.

Kia ora everyone. Welcome to any new Wiki members!
Our Wiki has been running for almost a month now and we've had a lot of exciting things going on. Firstly we managed to complete our wonderful jumping jacks which are on our wall. You are welcome to come and view them. Our house captains were elected and are now organising many events around the school. We are also in the midst of an inquiry into games. It's a fairly broad topic but we are finding out what makes a great game. We will hopefully incorporate this into our house picnic day which is scheduled for March 11th. We've also been learning our Mihi, which is a Maori greeting. This is a good way to value New Zealand's indigenous culture. We are busy training for athletics and our aerobics festival. In music we are learning how to perform a simple rhythm using a rakau stick. So this term is (what some call) chock-a-block! It's great to see you here! Watch our Wiki, particularly after our Wiki Wednesday session.

Welcome to Room 4s Wiki!
This is history in the making for St John's. It's the first time we have ever had a class website!
Did you know that a study shows 61% of students who have blogs rate their literacy skills as 'good' or 'very good' compared to 47% without blogs. Very interesting. (From Interface Magazine, Issue 21, Feb 2010)
